Volunteers Needed: Flyer Distribution

Take part in distributing flyers and spreading awareness about the Community Canopy Grant Program on Saturday, November 18th at 8 AM. Volunteers will meet near 23rd Ave and Adams St. for this opportunity and will go to homes throughout the neighborhood to engage with community members.

Volunteers Needed: VITA 

The City needs volunteers to help residents with their 2023 taxes. Every year, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program prepares free tax returns for low-to-moderate income individuals and families, but we can’t do it without YOU. VITA volunteers receive free training and are certified by the IRS to prepare basic tax returns.

We need greeters, screeners, bilingual interpreters and site coordinators. Volunteering with VITA is a great way to learn new skills and build your resume while helping others.

Volunteer Impact Report

We are excited to share with you what impact you and our City of Phoenix volunteers contributed in the past year. We had 21,663 volunteers serve 315,266 hours! The financial impact of our volunteer service hours amounted to nearly $10,000,000 in value.

Attached is the impact report, which highlights several departments and areas and where volunteers have made an impact, including: Human Services, Fire, Police, Library, Parks and Recreation, Aviation, Neighborhood Services, Community and Economic Development, and the Phoenix Convention Center.

We are especially thankful for you and all of our City volunteers this year. Thank you for your generosity, and we look forward to all that we accomplish together in the upcoming year!
