WE'RE COOL OUTREACH HIGHLIGHTS

Heat Response and Mitigation, Volunteer Programs, Human Services staff, and volunteers have conducted 14 We’re Cool outreach shifts. The We’re Cool Program aims to improve awareness of regional cooling resources and symptoms of heat illness, as well as to distribute heat relief resources to community members. A total of 720 points of contact were made through these shifts, with over 800 water bottles distributed, as well as many cooling towels, hats, misters, sunscreen, heat safety cards, and cooling center maps. This program will continue throughout the summer with shifts occurring at rotating locations throughout Phoenix.
