Support Volunteers for 9/11 Day Meal Pack

Help us honor the 20th anniversary of 9/11! We are excited to announce the return of our annual 9/11 day meal pack. Phoenix is one of several cities around the country participating in this large scale meal pack. In the Phoenix area, we have a goal of packing 200,000 meals for families in AZ.We are looking for support volunteers to help us run things day of. There will be a morning shift and an afternoon shift. Volunteers will need to be able to stand for long periods of time and lift at least 30lbs.

VITA –Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

Train to be a volunteer tax preparer and learn tax law! There are a variety of opportunities within the VITA program including tax preparers, do-it yourself guides, greeters, site coordinators, instructors and interpreters. Volunteers receive free training in how to prepare a basic tax return.

The South Mountain Park Native Plant Nursery and Greenhouse is part of the Park Steward program but looking for volunteers who enjoy gardening and want to help grown plants and trees to help restore the Sonoran Desert. Volunteer Usher at Symphony Hall and Orpheum Theatre

Being an usher is an exciting way to be a part of the arts and the downtown community. As we move into the 2021-2022 performance season, we are excited to welcome back our volunteer ushers. The Arizona Opera, Ballet Arizona, and the Phoenix Symphony perform in the city owned and operated Symphony Hall and Orpheum Theatre.
