Celebrate Community Spirit at the 4th Annual El Pavazo: A Thanksgiving Tradition

Celebrate community and tradition at the 4th Annual El Pavazo event, hosted by Councilwoman Betty Guardado. This event, now in its fourth year, has become a cornerstone of community support in Phoenix. We are excited to announce that this year’s El Pavazo will support over 1,000 working families with a free turkey for their Thanksgiving dinner.

Event Details:
Date: Saturday, November 2, 2024
Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: American Family Fields of Phoenix, 3600 N. 51st Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85031

Join us for an evening filled with exciting attractions:

  • Car Show: Marvel at a stunning collection of classic and modern cars.   Food Trucks: Enjoy a variety of delicious local cuisines.
  •  Live Music & Mariachi: Experience the vibrant sounds of live bands and traditional mariachi.
  • Dia de los Muertos Celebration: Participate in a special celebration with an "ofrenda." Guests are encouraged to bring a disposable photo of their loved ones to add to the community altar.

Councilwoman Guardado initiated the El Pavazo event to ensure that every family has the opportunity to enjoy a festive Thanksgiving. “We understand that in these challenging times, it can be a struggle for working families to put food on the table. For me, there is nothing more important then family. That is why I am committed to supporting our families with a turkey for their Thanksgiving Day celebration,” says Councilwoman Guardado.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect with the community, enjoy fantastic entertainment, and kick off the holiday season in spirit and unity.
