Vacant Properties Now Required to Register in Phoenix

The Phoenix City Council recently approved NSD’s Vacant Property Registry (VPR). The VPR requires the following property types to register with NSD if vacant for more than 30 days:

  • Non-residential properties
  • Unimproved land measuring over 10,000 square feet
  • Residential properties with 50 or more units vacant

The registry was created to address the community's need for communication with vacant property owners and to enable the City to efficiently address issues such as crime, blight, and illegal dumping.

The 30-day public comment period has been revised and is now February 5, 2024 to March 6, 2024. The survey results will be available for review at YourVoice and NSD Reports

An in-person public meeting to review the 2024- 202 5 Annual Action Plan survey results, as well as to receive comments and input, will be held on February 8, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at Aeroterra Community Center Assembly Room 1, 1725 E. McKinley Street, Phoenix, AZ 85006.

If you prefer, you can attend a virtual public meeting to discuss the same survey results and to receive comments and input on February 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m You may also call and listen to the meeting by registering at the following meeting link:
