Vacant Properties Now Required to Register in Phoenix
The Phoenix City Council recently approved NSD’s Vacant Property Registry (VPR). The VPR requires the following property types to register with NSD if vacant for more than 30 days:
- Non-residential properties
- Unimproved land measuring over 10,000 square feet
- Residential properties with 50 or more units vacant
The registry was created to address the community's need for communication with vacant property owners and to enable the City to efficiently address issues such as crime, blight, and illegal dumping.

The 30-day public comment period has been revised and is now February 5, 2024 to March 6, 2024. The survey results will be available for

An in-person public meeting to review the 2024-
202
5 Annual Action Plan survey results, as well as to receive comments and input, will be held on February 8, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. at Aeroterra Community Center Assembly Room 1, 1725 E. McKinley Street, Phoenix, AZ 85006.
If you prefer, you can attend a virtual public meeting to discuss the same survey results and to receive comments and input on February 15, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.

Ahora es obligatorio registrar las propiedades vacantes en Phoenix
El Concejo Municipal de Phoenix aprobó recientemente el Registro de Propiedades Vacías (VPR por sus siglas en inglés) de la NSD. El VPR requiere que los siguientes tipos de propiedad se registren en NSD si están vacantes durante más de 30 días:
- Propiedades no residenciales
- Terrenos no mejorados de más de 10,000 pies cuadrados
- Propiedades residenciales con 50 o más unidades vacías
El registro se creó para responder a la necesidad de la comunidad de comunicarse con los propietarios de inmuebles vacíos y permitir a la Municipalidad abordar eficazmente problemas como la delincuencia, el deterioro y los vertidos ilegales.

Se ha modificado el periodo de comentarios públicos de 30 días, que ahora es del 5 de febrero de 2024 al 6 de marzo de 2024

Se celebrará una reunión pública en persona para analizar los resultados de la encuesta del Plan de Acción Anual 2024-2025, así como para recibir comentarios y opiniones, el 8 de febrero de 2024, a las 5:30 p.m. en el Centro Comunitario Aeroterra, Sala de Asamblea 1, 1725 E. McKinley Street, Phoenix, AZ 85006.
