Jasmine Young is the new Volunteer Facilitator. Jasmine has her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Notre Dame and her Master’s in Family and Human Development from ASU. She has a wealth of experience working in the realm of service and volunteerism.  Jasmine was previously employed with UMOM as their Volunteer Coordinator and is the former Director of Development and Communications with the Arizona Justice Project. We are excited to have her join VolunteerPHX!

Heat Safety Reminder

As the temperatures rise this season, if you hike, do it right! Be aware of the difference of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Drink lots of water, and wear sunblock and a hat to protect you from the elements.

AmeriCorps VISTA Position Opening

Join the newly created Public Health Office in the City of Phoenix and help launch opioid addiction prevention programing in one of the most heavily impacted communities in America! In all age categories, Phoenix leads the county in overdose deaths, and YOU can help reverse that trend. The successful applicant will help develop and launch a youth addiction prevention pilot program focused on peer-to-peer engagement.
