Hi everyone,

This month my colleagues and I were able to move forward with a vote on a text amendment allowing for the use of Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU's) in an effort to alleviate our city's housing supply issues. We believe that allowing homeowners the opportunity to build casitas  or guest houses provides our city with the best solution to a major problem. 

This is just one of the many ways that Phoenix will look to address housing cost and supply in the coming months. We are always looking for feedback as we look for solutions to these issues and I do hope you will reach out to our office if you ever have suggestions.

Adoptable Pet – Goose

-Goose is a three-year-old Siberian Husky that was rescued by Arizona Humane Society (AHS) Cruelty Investigators earlier this month when he was found with his left hind leg completely entangled by a tether.

-Covered in blood from his wounds and in heat distress, the pup was transferred to AHS’ trauma hospital where his temperature was an astounding 105.9 degrees.

-Thankfully, he was found in time and able to be treated, however, his story serves as a reminder of the dangers of tethering.

-Goose is a high energy dog who would benefit from a home where he can receive regular physical exercise, as well as mental enrichment such as puzzle toys.
