Volunteer Highlight: Henderson Engineers

We had the Henderson Engineers volunteer group help with sorting seeds for the seed library this month. This is the second time we have had this company volunteer this year, as they also volunteered at Papago Park for Earth Day in April. Kudos to this group for returning to volunteer with us again this year!

Mentor Volunteers Needed: Earn to Learn

Mentors are needed for the Earn to Learn program. The Earn to Learn program is designed to help students from low-income families graduate college with little to no student debt.

Mentorship pairs have the option to meet virtually or in-person (if they happen to be matched with someone in the same city), most opt to meet virtually. The time commitment is at least one-hour meeting a month. These meetings will include guided conversations around workforce readiness topics such as resumes, mock interviews, networking, community engagement, internships, work-life balance, etc.

You can read more about the mentorship program on the website: Mentorship Program • Earn to Learn (earntolearn.org)
