To drive neighborhood safety and build 

Foothills Club West - Community Garden

A sustainable community garden with the use of Aeroponic Towers was created to minimize watering and feeding needs. Food can be grown for local farmers markets, neighbors, and homeless shelters in the community.​

Garfield Neighborhood - 

Alley Activation (Garfield's Art Alley)

928 E Pierce St (behind Gallo Blanco) 

Includes 23+ art panels that activated the alley in the community. The space is a new point of pride in the Garfield Neighborhood designed to engage and activate an alleyway to reduce crime and blight by increasing vehicular and pedestrian traffic in this alleyway.

Grant Projects 2022

Ocotillo Hills Block Watch - Entry Signs​

Four neighborhood signs were manufactured, powered coated, and installed to serve as entry into the community. These signs have been able to identify and beautify the neighborhood as well as bring a sense of pride and ownership.

North Park Central Neighborhood Association - Mural

North Park Central (NPC)
engaged in an extensive, multi-month resident and artist engagement process in search of a design that reflected the identity of the close-knit neighborhood. The NPC community selected an artist and resident of NPC's sister neighborhood, Woodlawn Park, to design and install the murals. Two murals were installed along North 7th Avenue, one at West Amelia Avenue and another at West Clarendon Avenue.

Mini-Grant Projects 2018-2019

Norton Vista Neighborhood Association – Enhancement & Neighborhood Revitalization​

Norton Vista Neighborhood Association was established to bring service and add value to the Sunnyslope community. Through funding and volunteer support, a mural, message boards, and curb paintings assisted in enhancing and revitalizing the neighborhood. The large core group of neighborhood volunteers and increasing attendance at association meetings show that this project has renewed hope within the community.

Grant Park - Community Garden​

​Built and installed a pass-through gate on the east fence with a garden theme. This gate makes the garden more accessible to adults and children. Previously, there was only a heavy rolling gate that was hard to open.

Community Tree Plantings

Trees are an important tool in mitigating the urban heat island effect by providing shade, air quality improvements and walkability. The
