Introduction

The City of Phoenix is committed to making its streets safer, with the goal of reaching Vision Zero – zero deaths from crashes on city streets. The Street Transportation Department, along with other city departments, is currently developing a comprehensive and achievable Vision Zero Road Safety Action Plan that will serve as a roadmap to help align internal work processes and road safety efforts to attain the Vision Zero goal. We would like you to continue to be a part of this development process by providing valuable input on the strategies we are proposing and by sharing your suggestions for efficient and safer roadways in our city.

Based on input from crash data analysis, and community input from our first phase of public engagement in the winter of 2021-2022, the Street Transportation Department has drafted a group of 40 strategies that are connected to five focus areas:

1. General Strategies
2. Behavior Related
3. Pedestrians and Bicyclists
4. Intersections
5. Segments

We appreciate your review of the focus areas and strategies, gleaned from the Phoenix community. Please read the draft Vision Zero Road Safety Action Plan and complete the following survey questions.

This survey will take approximately 15 minutes of your time. In some parts, it will reference the Phoenix High Injury Network (HIN) map that identifies city streets that have the highest number of fatalities and severe injuries due to motor vehicle crashes.
